There's a few reasons this is late, but the one I'm going to rant about is this one:

Those are some of the various screwed up side dishes Komoe orders throughout the episode, and lemme tell ya, no dictionary contains the names for those. To say that figuring out what manner of ludicrousness she was spouting was difficult doesn't come close to doing it justice. Anyway, now I know the names of 4 dishes I'm never going to eat. Yay.

950. godamn. lines. I am ready to kill myself. If episode 2 has anywhere near this level of BLAH BLAH BLAH we're dropping it.
I should also note that this is the first project Mazui's done where I know nothing about the source material, so my apologies in advance to the NisiOisiN diehards if I got anything wrong.

Now that I've actually read the book, I've turned around a ton of crap from the v1, so get this version as it contains substantial changes, the least of which are the editing mistakes. It's also a brand spanking new encode so there's no patch for it.

Note on Togame's title
The word she uses to describe herself is "奇策士" which isn't really a word, but is based off "奇策" which roughly translates into "clever/tricky scheme". The "士" is a common compound element meaning soldier/samurai, so what you get is a word that basically means "officer of clever strategies". Now, the word you'd generally use for a "strategist" would be "戦略家" or "策士" but the reason Nishio didn't use either of these is likely because Togame's role isn't that of a typical strategist (someone who sits back and plans army movements, etc). The rest of her title also suggests that she has a very particular role within the Shogunate of fulfilling critical tasks that don't necessarily have to do with battle, but that are still just as important to the Shogunate. Hence, I chose the word "strategian" as a translation, since it's easily recognizable, yet still calls into question exactly what it means, and how it differs from a strategist, which is exactly how Nanami reacted to it in the episode.
tl;dr it's "strategian" cause I say so.

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun 16

Encoder came back from his journey of enlightenment later than expected, so for now we're using a generic raw. v2 to follow with real raw when it's done.

update: Apparently there was some voodoo magic involved in getting the v2 out while I was gone, but anyway, here it is.
v2 x264 and XviD.

We made a bunch of optimizations to the op/ed styling, and of course there's no vfr in this version, so performance on borderline computers should improve a lot.

LAST UPDATE: In what I shall henceforth dub "the great font debacle of '10", a certain someone forgot to account for the op/ed style changes and thus render some v2 parts fontless. Since I am loathe to make a v3, we're just releasing this patch to fix it.
