Here you go, something different for a change. I had nothing to do with subbing the anime when it was airing, but apparently the people who did this aren't around anymore, so we're just filling in.
It's styled similarly to how you're probably used to. Enjoy!

lolI didn't say the AnCo releases were bad, it's just that noone watched them, because gg/bss/commie/whatever (all of these's styles were consistent with each other) were much faster (and pretty good at the same time), while AnCo took their sweet time.

ImpossibleThat ignores the fact that many people didn't watch the series while it was airing and many people are still yet to watch it. AnCo is easily the best group to use right now.
ShadowI started watching D3R with BSS (who did a great job with whole DTB series), then I believe they dropped it midway, and I found AnCo and finished the series with them.

They're not speed subbers, so they didn't release the same day, although the release times were fairly quick and consistent which worked for me.

And like Mazui, their staff is very cool! =)

Just wanted to add that I, too, watched AnCo's DRRR!! releases, and they were pretty damn good...
The best ones around at the time, IMHO.

CaptainKingAnco was the only real alternative when Frostii dropped, so you'll probably find there were plenty that watched their releases actually. Anco are still subbing the extra episodes too.

Also is this the recently released 25, or the first DVD-only extra ep. (12.5)?

TohyaYes, cause anco's translation is the kind where they make up dialogue so that the dialogue in the subs are more consistent which irritated a lot of people as translators should translate and not pretend to be story writers. Kinda like how chihiro (atleast they used to do that years ago when they were active) just makes up subs based on what they think are going on.

They may have irritated this "lot of people" of yours, but their Durarara!! subs still are most popular and liked among finished ones.

And if I am wrong thinking their subs are good (and all those people who likes their subs are) please enlighten us what the difference between the story in DRRR!! and the story in AnCo's subs.

don't forget only Anco released 12.5, if I remember right (too lazy to find my external now).

anyway, I prefer gg-etcetcetc, since at least they have good encodes, don't hardsub and have a good typeset. The differences in the subs aren't big.
