| What is Mazui? We're a speedsubbing group, originally formed in May 2009 to sub Haruhi. That means that we release shows within 24 hours of their airing in Japan. We aim to have relatively good subs ready for the english audience inside of 8 hours. In a broader scope, we hope to remind people what speedsubbing really is, and hopefully inspire other groups to take up true speedsubbing arms. How do I download your files from IRC? 1) You'll have to get a client such as mIRC: http://www.mirc.com/get.html (note that browser-based clients won't work) 2) Open your IRC client. In the empty server window type /server irc.rizon.net 3) You should be flooded with a load of text that tells you that you've successfully connected to Rizon. Next, type /join #mazui 4) Once you're in the channel, a topic should pop up with the most recent releases 5) In mIRC you'll have to turn off ignore on DCC so you can download files. Go to Tools > Options and change it to look like this: http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/6546/xdcc.png If you have trouble with this, you can just ask for help in our channel. If no one answers immediately, just wait a few minutes. 6) Once set up, you should now be able to download from one of our bots. The command looks like /msg somebot xdcc send 1234, so for example, /msg [Mazui]Haruhi xdcc send 1 Your videos playback funny/I see comments/It's not like your screencaps There is one universal solution to playback problems. Step 1. Stop using VLC. Step 2. Install CCCP. Step 3. ???? Step 4. Profit! (Or maybe just playback our videos correctly.) Your translation for <blah blah> is wrong Errare humanum est. We don't claim to be perfect. Hell, it's a speedsub, so finding errors shouldn't be too surprising. That said, we do our best to keep subs accurate, and v2's usually sort out any issues. Your subs are too literal/too liberal/have wrong names The rule around here is the editor is God. He decides what style people talk in, what punctuation to use, or how to romanize names. If he wants to keep a sentence closer to the Japanese grammar structure, that's his perogative. If he wants to keep honorifics, no one can say no. If he says it's Horo, it's Horo. And if you don't like that, you're free to wait a few days for other subs. Can I use your subs for XYZ? You're free to use our subs for whatever you like. We even have a handy scripts page where you can download the .ass files. We only ask that if you're going to release a piece of shit, you keep our name off it. herpes.deepbone.net....?
