I watched Railgun first, I'm also more attached to Misaka and her friends...
I wish there was a second series of Railgun :'(
But I also enjoy Index equally... But I connected more with Misaka and Kuroko.
Nah, not a mistake. It wouldn't have mattered which you saw first as it wasn't until the 17th Railgun that it caught up to the events of Index I.
I watched Index I first and never really saw Touma and Index as a pair. More like brother and little sister. Now Mikoto, on the other hand, I saw her to be his future wife.
When I followed up with Railgun, I lived for the episodes where Touma crossed paths with Biribiri! =)
The whole Sisters and Accelerator/Last Order arcs of the first season were the best episodes and I'm sure they will be the best in this season as well.
Touma/Mikoto hands down. Index should go back to Stiyl, imo. :p
The author did kept going further with Mikoto's crush, but you are right, Touma's main actions through the later parts of the TAMNI light novels are defined by his attachment to Index. Anyone else he saves can be chalked up to his strong and naive sense of justice.
That said, it seems the episodes from here on will start showing the story they teased us with for so long. And let's hope for a third season since what will happen at the end of season 2 is only an introduction.

I think you may be right. I know Japanese too little to hear things out. Still, translation of what Uiharu said didn't look too good to me, but I never cared enough to actually think about how it should have been. But I think we'll have to wait for batch to see v2, unless some other not-small mistake comes up.

As much I would like Misaka to be a couple with Touma, it would just ruin the chemistry that those two have.
index-touma is just unavoidable.
Even though their relationship and chemistry isn't even worth looking at.
Haven't been any indications yet of this though. Touma's actions are always based on his sense of justice. Even when it comes to Index.
I'm just hoping that there will be another season of Railgun.
I think you'd better ask them on IRC. I don't think they'll answer here. This was once written in FAQ, but I don't think I can find one on the site anymore.
