Leave it to oreimo to have me subbing at 5am again...

Totally worth it though. This is the true ending, aka the book ending. It was aired on the web so there's no HQ raw, you only get the raw that was streamed. Not cancerous, but only 360p. I suspect there won't be any better raw until it shows up on BD.

The true ending offers more possibilities for an season2 to start, and btw it fits more to the anime like the other i tink.

LarnuAnyone else had issues with this file? I reinstalled CCCP afterwards, and got the subs to work, but had to revert to Media Player Classic. WMP (don't bitch at me for using it), now thinks it's an Audio file, but everything else still plays fine (that I've tested). before the install and restart WMP played with no subs, GOM spazed out, and Classic was the same as WMP. Just wondered.

*Scratch that, some of my anime now plays with no sound, highly unamused... ¬_¬*
LarnuFixed the sound issues and got back to normal. everything plays again, whew. However this still doesn't like having subs. Playing it on MPC works for now, so mnot bothered about a single file, but if anyone else has had problems would be interesting.

Latest CCCP - tried playing it in WMP (washed hands after) and I got subtitles. Played earlier in MPC perfectly fine too.

So if you aren't seeing subtitles... something is messed up on your end. Perhaps try "resetting" CCCP's settings (pretty sure there's an option to reset things to default...).

StriderXIXThis lacked any real impact, and it was sad to boot. I think it was more of a transition eps to gently introduce the OVA's (though the sudden leaving of Kirino is pretty jarring in of itself).

I think the anime ending was done to give it a nice happy ending, a good impact and a feeeling of that it's finished, JUST IN CASE that they weren't able to continue to make episode after that season. (for whatever reason)

DrojfThe reason for the playback problems / video quality/size is because they used the original webstream, and did not re-encode it (for best possible quality). The video plays back fine using ffdshow (part of cccp).

ffdshow says the codec is 'VP6F', which is more or less flash video

Besides, this is the actual ending for season 1 had they followed the light novel properly. With this ending they leave themselves an opening for season 2, an opening the tv ending does not provide.

HikageI noticed that for some reason CCCP didn't load the one VSFilter for this video. Going into CCCP settings, hitting Next, then checking "Autoload VSFilter" under Haali Media Splitter got the subs showing up for me. Seems it's not a default setting. *Goes back to lurking*

And what that was is Senpai at the end of this episode which makes sense since in the other ending, it left a cliffhanger to that comment of hers unlike this one. Crazy...

I completely agree with you and I wish I had done that. Because when I watched the 'true end' I knew what was going to happen and anticipated it throughout.
JiroTo be quite frank this episode felt kind of dull. Kyosuke didn't show a lot of emotion realizing that Kirino was gone, could've been better.

The fact that Kyosuke found Kuroneko at the end though was thrilling. Being a Kuroneko fan, I hope she gives him hell and he falls for her, lmao.
