How was everyone else's summer? Mine, being in Toronto, was altogether far too hot, which in retrospect was a good thing I suppose, since I got a lot of N1 studying done. It's more like a preview for the anime. All I remember is that it's the same as the pilot chapter for the manga. Not sure if it was in the LNs or not.

you are getting this wrong... not that the hiragana for the pronunciation of "wa" is は, just in this case は is read like "wa".

Almost as bad as を being o and へ being e when used as a particle.. Worse still is using letters with those lines/accents/whatever you want to call them. Why use anything that doesn't exist on a 101/109-key keyboard? That's my opinion, take it or leave it.

Yes, it is. CoreAVC can decode it stable. FFDshow can decode it stable. madVR can decode it stable. LAV can decode it stable. Actual 10bit encoding (not decoding) has been stable forever, it's only just now that the decoders are being released.
BUT MY TV/PHONE/NETBOOK/TOASTER CAN'T DECODE IT!?!? Boo fucking hoo. If it we listened to people like you, we'd still be using XviD for everything.

actually a chroma bug was found recently that still hasn't been patched. so no, it isn't bug-free yet. stable, maybe, but stable with bugs.
in regards to the whole 8/10 debate, I don't care. just fixing some misinformation.

@Everybody Else: Hi10p is great but not widely supported yet. I'd say they should either do both 8bit and 10bit or just stick with 8bit.
K-Lite codec pack with MPC - didn't need to update it and it played Hi10... if its a Matroska it will play :/

You just watched a bloody OVA of the series, try reading the title of the episode (episode 00).
Only people who have read the manga will know that this is pretty much chapter 0 of the manga animated, with some extra scenes and the opening song.

If you're on Windows, I'd download the latest build of ffmpeg. It can decode MXKV, so if you wanna convert to AVI you would run ffmpeg thru Command Prompt with this syntax:
C:ffmpegbinffmpeg.exe -i (drag-and-drop the original MKV here) (drag-and-drop the original MKV here, then Backspace and replace the .MKV with .AVI)
That should work.

You can use Avidemux, which is easy to use and allows for many options and filters.
For avi, choose Xvid for the video and mp3 for the audio.

If you idiots didn't notice that in OreImo OP they also used "ha" instead of "wa" everywhere, you suck. They prefer "ha" so what?

Haganai is correct, but Boku Ha Tomodachi Ga Sukunai is incorrect romanization. It is very strange. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai is correct.
At the same time, I doubt either of the two girls we've seen in episode 1 would have much trouble making friends - except for the blonde, who's a little b*tchy and self-entitled.
In that sense, it kind of reminds me of Buffy (by which I mean it's a show about unpopular geeks/nerds, but the actors and actresses are too pretty/handsome to really be convincing in those parts.)
That aside, I'm going to stick around for this show.
JESUS CHRIST PEOPLE. ROMANIZATION IS A MATTER OF PREFERENCE, LET THEM DO WHAT THEY WANT. IF YOU WANT TO ARGUE ABOUT SOMETHING MAKE IT SOMETHING WORTHWHILE LIKE LOCALIZATION SHIT (which, thankfully, Mazui avoids)
The reason why they have trouble making friends is because,with the exception of Kodaka,they have pretty nasty personalities.Yozora can be even more harsh than Sena most of the time,like writing a screenplay where Sena gets raped.Go check baka-tsuki out if you want to know more.
