To Aru Kagaku no Railgun 05

Railgun time! While I are sad the story didn't progress, at least this is canon. Also, apparently Railgun's going to be 24 eps? o_O How the hell are they gonna pull that off...

The (loli) goods.

Update: lolis in XviD

soooo cute

Geese1Thanks as always!
roevamazing work. keep up guys!
mosheeThanks Mazui for epic speed!
SoujiOMG ^^
remm24? that explains the filler. Also fuck yea! we'll see Accelerator!
MalukuI liked the filler so far, so it's not that bad.
Better 24 eps with filler than 12 without..
anonymousOHYEAH! 24 episodes about Biribiri and her friends! =D
SoujiWhrez the Xvid T.T
anonymousHopefully the XviD will be out soon and be put on the bot packlist:D
anonymoushey, I *want* to see more about Biribiri and her friends...
Lucid_YumeDanm, that was fast. Great job... Thanks!
anon-kun's broyou can do it 24 eps i'm cheering for you :)
ThanatosI assumed Railgun *itself* was just filler for the main series...huh...
andychin777hmmm @ 9:02 i think there is a word typo...
"didn't plan to, to start start with"
ehh and i also cant find a source that shows it has 24 eps.../cry
miceas much I loved Mazui for the great Haruhi + S&W subs, but Railgun? srry, no thx...it is just wrong.
well you still have my support for sure though.
Dennis HimselfSweet, I only found this site quite recent and I'm glad that I did. Mazui subs are of high standards and needless to say: You enlighten our hobbies. Thanks alot for the quick subs with high quality anime and resolution.

-Best regards: Dennis
SkilverYep, I see 24.

Check there, it'll show you. :3
JyosuaOkay I'm a little annoyed. I have no idea what you guys did, but after the first episode, the OP theme's karaoke lags. The rest of the episode plays fine, but there's something about that opening. I don't think it's my computer either, because I have a 2k dollar computer that can play pretty much all games on max settings, and I have the latest cccp codec pack. Any suggestions?
JyosuaA guy in IRC told me to try smplayer, and it worked, so if anyone else has this problem, try it. :)
PapaGeorgioHurray, the official start of the weekend. Many thanks, guys.
skywatcher122HD men the best.....
what so sad for the slower computers...
keep it up to update...
tsukimorithanks for the xvid.
anonymousWoohoo ty for putting the XviD on the bot packlist!

KiruWait a sec... this release has karaoke?

Nothing really lags with cccp+media player classic... but also no karaoke-effects.
anonymousI think the lag (on .mkv) comes from MPC's quick and dirty overlay mixer. View>Options>Output And Select Haali Renderer

VRM9 was worse
VRM7 same
old renderer was crap
sys default is VRM7 on XP and crap on all else

btw Haali appears half size in windowed mode, but I don't think there's any noticable quality loss
KiruVRM9 wasn't always crap for me. With 2008 cccp it was pretty awesome... but the 2009 version successfully broke it. -_-

Now I'm using Haali as well and it also seems the colors are bit better than with VRM9. (Don't know if this is also the case with cccp 2008)

In short: I'd also say no VRM9 with cccp-2009.
Soukyuufor cccp09, use Haali when on XP and EVR custom preset when on vista/7. So far, i had the best results with those renderers. Even some EP from Mazui that lagged stopped doing so.

There is one "untranslated" karaoke line btw, the one where they jump from english back to japanese.
AlexI have taken the time to compare the HQ and LQ presentations made by this wonderful subbing group. I have looked at the .avi side by side with the .mkv offerings. the only thing I can really say is that when you get right down to it, the only reason to download the .mkv is you have more harddrive space than common sense. You can not improve the detail of a anime to draw out detailes that don't exist. Other than that the best reason I can see for downloading the .avi is the fact that many groups use a variable bit rate for the encodes and many times the audio and video do not match up on even a VERY beefy computer. (Q6600/4Gig/Radeon 4850/etc...) It matters little how good the encode looks if the sound is 3 seconds off. In all truth stick with what works for you and stop bitching about the snobbery of codec.
AlexBTW Fantastic job on the series so far. Sorry for not including it in the prior missive
comment@ 9:01, I think there is a typo as well.

Just throwing it out there, but other than that, you guys are quick ^_^
Someone@Alex: ORLY? "I have looked at the .avi side by side with the .mkv offerings." => Soo you have some pretty hardware to do that, do you? Well, I do, soo I repeated your test ... but got different results. The gap between these 2 version is pretty significant.
"You can not improve the detail of a anime to draw out detailes that don't exist." => It is not like encoders adding details to the h264 version (the only ones who trying it are oversizing and overfiltering faggots), it is that they loosing details in the xvid version while trying to fit it in adequate filesize.
This show comes from HDTV soo it have the some details in it (given the filesize of mpeg or whatever HDTVs broadcast in).
And why do you think nearly all experienced anime-fansub encoders started using h264? Should not do they know somethnig about it?
ZiegI'd say, let's cut the XviD vs. H264 crap and let the ones who want them DL what they want...you folks are spamming the comment box with so much technical jargon for the average person.
lolwutOther than that the best reason I can see for downloading the .avi is the fact that many groups use a variable bit rate for the encodes and many times the audio and video do not match up on even a VERY beefy computer. (Q6600/4Gig/Radeon 4850/etc...)

@Alex: Are you fucking retarded?

You can not improve the detail of a anime to draw out detailes that don't exist.

LOL MENTARHD
go join #eclipse and see how its done!

It matters little how good the encode looks if the sound is 3 seconds off. In all truth stick with what works for you and stop bitching about the snobbery of codec.

Obviously, you should donate your beefy computer to SOMEONE THAT ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT. You wont get hardware desyncing problems on any of mazui's x264 mkvs unless YOURE ON A GODDAMN PENTIUM 3 WITH 8MB OF VRAM (and only then slightly, trust me, i've tried)
lakeI agree with Alex. He never said that there were problems with mazui subs at all. He just mentioned that the subs by some groups have serious tracking issues. the rest of you are just bitching because you think you know something you really don't. .MKV files are in no way better than any other encode. (.AVI, .OGG, .MP4, Etc...) I would suggest that if you have such big mouths that you can continue to run people into the ground with your childish ranting then do your own encoding and STFU! I like the .mkv encodes and I like the .avi encodes. I don't encode myself and I don't plan on doing it but you really need to STFU! I really like the work that this group is doing! Oh and by the way I think that you (lolwut)might be the one who needs a new computer and are just jellous. So here is to the praise the fine subbers here at Mazui and to all you loud mouthed morons...STFU!
WoK24 Ep? I can't wait! this is a great side story!
Soukyuu@lolwut: c2d 2Ghz, 8600m GT, 4GB ram, coreavc+CUDA, MPC-HC (latest CCCP), EVR custom preset as renderer. If you're so smart with hardware, solve my lag problems with Mazui's spice and wolf releases. So much for Pentium III.
There are no issues on a PC with equivalents specs btw.

@Alex: your PC really shouldn't be having any lag issues with variable h264. Might be the lack of CUDA though, dunno if MPC-HC uses DVXA on radeon cards.
SighJust disable H.246 decoder in CCCP, re-register/re-apply H246 in CoreAVC, and play it with WMP. Common now.
AlexThanks for the info!!! This is how it's done, give a solution or possible soultion. I'll give it a shot. Again Thanks and keep the great subs coming.
lolwut@Soukyuu

Youre using CUDA, that's your problem. CUDA support is marginal at best.
SoukyuuThen why does it lag _more_ with CUDA off.
DauntaeCalm down lake. While I agree with you that people should pick what suits them best, there is no reason to go off a rampage like that. Let them say what they want or ignore them and they'll stop. Simple. With that said, lake is right though. There is no "significant" difference, just a preference between the two or the program you're using to play the videos. I emphasize when I say I 'prefer' .MKV files formats since the files aren't actually embedded or integrated together. (You can turn the subtitles off or on is what I mean).
