Thanks for the work guys :DD
I like what GirlDeMo did there during the pseudo-ending credits.
Awesome release as usual, Mazui, arigato.
2 more episodes..
I don't want it to end.
Jun, please make it end with your epic style..
Cheers;

I sure hope Yurippe dies a horrible death.
thanks ne...
Hopefully we get more Yuri, she's the best in the show. I don't think she's gonna like what Otonashi is doing.
nice work!

I'm so tired of waiting.
Calm down dude. You could just take the HD version and convert it to something that you can play.
@Mazui
Thanks for the hard work!! And the great subs!!
Jun Maeda back to his own self.
If the series had been 24 eps long it would have made more sense though.
But I still like the show.
Cheers;
Niker
PS: Mazui, once again, thanks for the awesome job.
And this episode was very fast-paced...
Damn I can't believe I couldn't enjoy an AB episode.
... and that I kinda dig the shadows... ;)
Ohhh and also: Thank You, Mazui!!
thanks 4 ur nice work ^0^
btw i wanna know if this show over
is this group only subbing katanagari or will pick another project?
Well at least this time "Haruhi" working her ass off to find the culprit, instead of showing off her leggings on the table...
Maybe he is the "final boss" :p
Amazing animation overall.
Anyone notice at 21:23 there's a portrait of Yurippe in the background instead of the principal?

If you can't read most of it a better online Jp to En translator is:
http://honyaku.nifty.com/
Just copy and paste the top url into URL box and select 日本語 -> 英語 (it's a Japanese web site after all). And it looks like the old coma idea is out since Maeda says: ã¿ã‚“ãªæ»ã‚“ã§ã„ã¦ã€ç”Ÿã返るã“ã¨ã‚‚ãªã„。 Or simply put, 'they're all dead and won't be coming back' :-(
It makes me think if jun maeda had lotsa regrets in his life. but dayum they gonna wrap this up too soon/ T^T
I wish they'd extend it a bit moar.. ;_; or make a movie or something.
Thanks for the subs! It was uber fast :D
ãã•ã¾ã¯ãƒˆã‚¤ãƒ¬ãƒƒãƒˆãƒšãƒ¼ãƒ‘ーã
then what follows sounds like:
ã‚ã£ã¨ã„ã†é–“ã«æµã•ã‚Œã¦ã„ãトイレットペーパーã®æ½”ã•ã«ãã¥
and now @konatsu you're on your own.
thanks!
He's making an entry into his diary after the great lecture and in typical Japanese fashion he's writing around the subject. Looks like he's resolved to beam-out tomorrow. On the left in 'recent entry' there's a reference to a track-back-test
thank god for foxlingo #^^#

i canz moonspeak now? \____YES
What happened to Kanade so she can take bullets without flinching o___O
Now I keep hearing that song when I see the next episode's title.
I was just wondering about the script. At 21:23 and 21:30, the lines are almost the same (they both mention a large number of computers). Listening to it, it sounds like the first line should be something about "god" and the "world" (it was all I could make out). I'm planning on manually correcting it if it turns out that that's the wrong line. If you could tell me what it really means, that'd be great. If not, then that's okay too.
Thanks! :]
Tenshi now have a Wing XD
The first line at 21:23 is something along the lines of: "sona kami-sama kidori no fusaketa mane o shiteru jatsu ima kono sekai ni doko ka ni iru koto ni." It means something like this:
"This means that somewhere in this world there is an idiot who is playing god"
second line:"soko ni wa computer nandai mo aru no hazu" translates to:
"Wherever he is there must be lots of computers"
Which means the second line is very correct but the first one is not.
If you want to change your script phrase it yourself or copy mine, at least you have a general idea of the meaning ^^
so'nna kami sama kidori no fuzaketa ma ni au shitei yatsu da ima kono sekai
doko ka ni irute koto
Which literally would run something like this:
SO, some pretentious god's timely fooling-around points to him, now someplace in this world the thing exists.
[Believe it or not (given the visual context) irute koto could also be translated 'shoot the thing, and...']
Too bad they don't include kanji subs on Japanese BDs. The certainly charge enough for them ^ ^ (55$US at J-Amazon for ONE volume of Angel Beats).
I think I get the general gist of what you mean, irute=ute(shoot) and from there the meaning would be something like "somewhere in this world it should be shot" or "somewhere in this world the thing is shooting"?
Not to forget that the continuation goes: "soko ni wa". Pointing back to a place that she mentioned earlier, unless there is some other way to interpret that as well =)
I agree that having their script in kanji/hiragana/katakana, anything would make it a lot easier to get the real meaning down. Sadly I actually suck at reading that though xD
Of course that's only for learning fanatics. Now back to lunch. ^ ^
Love Key animes
There is no second season sadly, but there is a manga for Angel Beats that is ongoing. It's called Angel Beats: Heaven's Door.
I think this inspired me to watch Maede's other works... though AB will always have a special place in my heart... lol.
â€Sonna kami-sama kidori ni fuzaketa mane o shiteiru yatsu ga ima .. kono sekai doko ka ni iru tte koto .. soko ni wa computer ga nandai mo aru hazu"
I think those three parts are in one sentence. The particle 'tte' is used to quote sentences or phrases .. or in this case, in english, it would probably be something like 'then it would mean..' or 'if that's the case.." followed by "..there should (also) be a lot of computers there.
"Arigato, tte iwareta" would be something like "(I) was told 'thank you'." But I think you already know that. Anyways, there is a notable change in tone/pitch before the particle 'tte'.
I'm quite positive about what I said, but hey, I'm not japanese - so I could be wrong.
so'nna kamisama kidori NO fuzaketa mane [マãƒ] wo shiteiru yaso [ヤツ] ga, ima kono sekai no doko ka ni iru tte koto yo!
Which suggests this rendering:
He is performing (the role) of that god-presuming playful (BS-ing) manager; the thing is now somewhere in this world!
The 'shoot the thing' was a possible boring joke (ã„ã‚‹ v å°„ã‚‹)
And that's enough BS-ing until the next episode. ^ ^

... and I don't hear 'yo' at the end of 'tte koto', nor the sound of a letter 'y'.
Let's just thank Mazui for uber fast subs *w*
Oh.. and.. Do you think 'Hinata' is spelled with a single 'i'? Because I seem to rather hear a double 'i' most of the time.. It has been bugging me for a long time now ._.
b) hinata (n) sunny place; in the sun
c) it's summer break time (up north at least) or near pre-third term early winter break time if you're a 'Strine or Kiwi kid so why not go out and have some fun? ^ ^
But anyway Rei, while I do agree with Japanese being hard as hell to translate and even harder in slang. This sentence is not as bad as you make it sound, mainly the "thing" you talk about...
Yatsu=person, the sentence is referring back to the previously mentioned "yatsu" therefore a person clearly not a thing.
As Requiem pointed out its not only about something being able to mean something it has to actually makes sense in the context too.
A person is in the act of foolishly playing god and is now somewhere in the world.
It makes perfect sense and you have to try to get a different meaning out of it.
That is just my opinion though, no offense, thanks for all the interesting posts its been an educational read =)
no freaking way! XD
It's a SPECIAL day TODAY
