Ookami-san 03
Waking up at 5 to sub when I was on vacation wasn't fun, but neither's staying up till 5 at home (´・ω・`)
Ookami-san episode 3
One consequence of subbing a late night show is that I'm far too tired to stay up and encode/upload the xvid by the time we're done, so expect similar delays for future episodes.
Now that said, the xviders with crappy computers have no excuse with Ookami-san, since it is not an HD show. And to drive my point home, the xvid I just encoded using my standard settings is larger than the h264 version.
If you still have some bizarre reason you want it though, here it is.
I dunno about you but I shat bricks when I found out:
btw have I mentioned I'm a Miku fan?

Thanks for your hard work.
The link in the actual post isn't working for me. However the quick link to the right does.
been waiting for this
I guess i have to get XviD instead :P
Thank for the release^^
Did NOT know those voiceactor pairs. Looks like a promising episode :D
So this show is airing at 5 in the morning? Or would it be 5 at night for Japan?
thanks for the release guys!
btw: mp4 link for PSP: http://www.mediafire.com/?ugzmmmzdvyuo2tt
anyway...thank you Mazui for this Ookami ^0^
Though I would like to just point out a typo I found in this episode.

Ookami-San
Coincidence... I think not.
no,fuck off, this show sd only and I WAN MY XVID,AVI!!!
@FUCKOFF: why would you want lower quality to come first some people who do have normal specced pc's would prefer HQ so be happy Mazui is also uploading Xvid for you (and others)
ironically I can play this with my divx player, but that only pisses me off more cause the subtitles disappear if I try to watch full screen with it, lol.
Anyone got problem should try CCCP (google for it)
Thank you guys ;)
It's the related voice actresses or the drawings or the situations of the characters that remind me of the this!
@Mazui...
Thanks for the subs and your hard work!
any thoughts?
I still love you Mazui
I can get it to play if I disable DirectVobSubs and use FFDshows subtitle filter, but then its covered in artifacts.
Seems to be a problem in the sub file stopping those sub filters working properly, as it will play when remuxed without the .ASS.
Also will play fine if you use MPC internal or anything else.
Kanbaru ^^
I didn't know people still used ancient technology such as this.
Other than that, I also shat bricks after reading that. o_o
shhhh with yee complaints oh Mazui subber, delays are fine. Just please get it here T_T and now to download it.
Really prefer the MKVs if the source is ripped from BD at 720p or 1080p
Don't get me wrong, I'm not bitching here, since you released scripts I don't have anything to complain about, I just want to know your opinion.
I blame Railgun.
Loving the BB Hood reference in there too hehe.
EP 1 & 2 are fine though.
i am having problems with the video aswell here is a screenshot:

And for all who can't play it, try MPC-HC with ffdshow. Not that crappy CCCP codec pack, it's ancient by now. I mean, I used ffmpeg (UNIX version of ffdshow) on my Eee PC to play stuff, and I was always able to play the 720p versions of shows :)

There is your problem, use MPC-HC
> CCCP ancient
My CCCP pack is from 2010-05-21, don't see how that's ancient
             ( ゚∀゚) ~Thank you

It'd be nice if PMPs had subtitle rendering filters >.>
on another note, BB Hood was awesome and yay for the appearance of the legendary Tsun-loli...and her cosplay to boot.
I use MPC-HC and had to turn off the two Internal transform filters for h264 and turn on FFDShow + I had to turn off the AutoLoad VS Filter option under Haali. It then plays fine and I didn't see any pixelation in the subs.
I didn't need to do this on the previous eps. Did something change?
In MPC > Options > Subtitles > Sub pictures to buffer > increase value to 2. Click OK, close MPC, and reopen the vid.
Otohime~ Are you wearing your panties today? Really? Really??
... or maybe you could edit her out? >_>
(That was a joke but would make this anime so much better.)
("the time taken for eyes to travel to top and back to bottom is longer compared to top of other lines. For example, if you watch the beginning of first episode (2:09 - 2:14), you will notice that narrator have one line while Ringo have 3 lines.
If narrator's line is on top part of screen, eyes would need to travel down fast to catch what Ringo said. That's what Ipsar meant by "it would get even harder to read what everyone is saying, wouldn't it?")
I copied my comment from second episode forum cuz I was too lazy to retype. I almost forgot to point something out, too many darting eyes make eyes hurt (cuz too many work).
Yeah, it's too much work to press the damn Pause button before they finish the sentence. I'm sorry you had to bear with using your eyes.
Also, to the people saying that this show does have HD: so what? What they meant by "This isn't a HD show." is that it doesn't need HD. What matters most to this show is the writing, and therefore you don't have to see every single damn pixel that the staff that made this show bothered to color in.
tarou's voice is to loud that it can't be heard clearly
And I swear Ringo's voice sounds more like Komori-sensei than Saten. Or maybe it's the character design...?
Try installing the CCCP codecs (search for it on your favourite engine).
Had no problem with k-lite codec pack, and media player classic. MKV worked just fine (audio, subs, everything ok).
For xbox and PS3 users, look for the PS3 media server. It can convert MKV on the fly and stream to your PS3. It's supposed to work with Xbox as well (or so it says on the forums).
even the ANNOUNCER said it! ookami-san is a tsundere, i predicted it, i told yall whats gonna happen and i KNEW IT!
whew.
okay so then, now i know after 3 episodes how the plot will develop, thanks to my comment on the first ep, so does everyone else.
i need that entire commented blackedout o.O;
Retroactive spoilers are the worst. Just keep the ending to yourself ..... bah, you already said it and I read it weeks ago! Damn, you are evil! ;)
Damn, Kugimiya Rie is awesome.
Using just MPC and it's terribly blocky and messed up looking the whole time.
im so sorry. i had the faint hope that it woulda turned out different but it didnt.
ill go die in a fire now =(
I myself had a problem with the mkv where seeking caused lots of artifacting and just made it unwatchable. Remuxing fixed it though, so its no biggie.
And for the love of god stop it with the "My Xbox/PS3/randomhardwareplayer doesn't support .mkv, use XMBC or PS3 Media Center if you really need to watch it with something else than PC.
Also, the .mkv remuxed to .mp4 with MP4Box worked mighty fine on my PS3 with railguns and I doubt this is any different (unless encoder-kun got wild with reframes...)
/rant
heres a link to what my screen looks like when playing it. If I try to change my aspect ratio its a square box in the middle of the screen or a like that like but going from the top to the bottem insted of left to right.
* = xvids-kids
Excellent Little Red Riding Hood. The wolf stands no chance when she's armed like that.
Thx for the release.
try resetting your cccp and use media player classic to play ur videos , problem solved ;)
http://alltoavi.sourceforge.net/
J.C. Staff you fucking tease!
Alltoavi, while a good tool, is severely limited as many files cause mencoder and alltoavi to crash. In my experience it works properly around 30-40% of the time for older (1yr+) mkvs and around 20% of the time for newer (6- months) mkvs
The easiest certain way (IMO) to hardsub an h.264 mkv is via SUPER (for A/V) and vdub/avidemux (For subs), which takes considerably more effort and knowledge than most people who watch anime of their PS3 have.
hurdur
perhaps the easiest but dunno about the most certain way IMO.
I personally use mkvextract to demux everything, avc2avi to mux h264 stream in avi (i had 0 problem with the avi files created with that yet) then process everything with virtualdub (which can process the h264, audio and subtitles via Textsub directshow filter). yay!
Too bad PS3 Media Server is a pain in the ass to use. For people with shit computers like mine, it renders the computer pretty much useless from lag, plus streaming from PC to PS3 sucks shit, I'd rather copy and play it. Not to mention half the time the subs don't show up and you have to go through a bunch of settings to fix it. Too much time wasted when you could just use a different encoding.
Mimi Usami - Taiga Aisaka (Toradora), Sabato Mihashigo (Dokura-chan), Karin Kurosaki and Nemu Kurotsuchi (Bleach)
you be trollin
anyhoe we all know those are Rie Kugimiya anyways
